In light of what is happening with NVIDIA's recent launches, and the lack of availability AMD figured let's send out a letter to etailers. AMD worries that people will buy and resell the cards at higher prices.
AMD presents a number of 'strong recommendations' in the confidential letter addressed to stores. The manufacturer cannot force commitments to the etailers. But in the letter AMD states it needs online stores to use detection methods and captchas to combat bots. The manufacturer also wants stores to deliver a maximum of one copy per customer and it is recommended to manually check orders. Furthermore, AMD calls on to limit sales to companies as much as possible in the beginning. The letter is featured in a YouTube video from RedGamingTech and has been spotted by VideoCardz.
On November 5th AMD will introduce its Radeon RX 6000 video cards. An availability date has not been shared.
