AMD Ryzen 5 7600X3D Processor - Exclusive to Microcenter Bundle (for now)

AMD has introduced the Ryzen 5 7600X3D, a 6-core, 12-thread processor based on the Zen 4 microarchitecture, enhanced with 3D V-Cache technology to boost gaming performance. The processor is exclusively available in the US through MicroCenter, priced at $299.99, and sold only as part of a bundle. This bundle includes the Ryzen 5 7600X3D, an ASUS TUF Gaming B650-Plus Wi-Fi motherboard, and a 32 GB (2x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 memory kit, with the total bundle cost set at $450. When purchased separately, these components would total approximately $630, offering a significant $180 discount in the bundle.

The Ryzen 5 7600X3D is positioned as an affordable option within the Ryzen 7000 series, specifically designed for mainstream gaming systems. It features six Zen 4 cores with simultaneous multithreading, operating at base and boost frequencies of 4.10 GHz and 4.70 GHz, respectively. Notably, the 7600X3D’s maximum boost frequency is 600 MHz lower than that of the Ryzen 5 7600X and 400 MHz lower than the Ryzen 5 7600 (non-X). However, this is compensated by the inclusion of 96 MB of L3 cache, significantly higher than the 32 MB L3 cache found in the standard Ryzen 5 7600X. This processor maintains a 65W TDP and supports up to 128 GB of DDR5-5200 memory across two channels. It also features 24 usable PCIe 5.0 lanes, offering ample connectivity options for gaming and other intensive tasks. Despite the locked multiplier, which limits CPU overclocking, memory overclocking is supported. Some motherboard manufacturers provide BIOS workarounds for performance enhancements on other X3D processors, which may also apply to this model.



The Ryzen 5 7600X3D is compatible with AM5 motherboards using A620, B650, B650E, X670, and X670E chipsets, making it a viable option for users upgrading from older Socket AM4 platforms. The included ASUS TUF Gaming B650-Plus Wi-Fi motherboard is a mid-range ATX option, offering a solid foundation for gaming builds.
