Yet, another leak of some kind finds its way to the web; this round, the six-core AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, has been spotted in PassMark. The hexacore proc is the slowest clocked one of the four processors that have been announced, yet it still takes a salubrious lead.
PassMark rates all kinds of stuff, but the important denominators are single and multi-threaded results. Granted, it's indicative and nothing more, but if a Ryzen 5 5600X CPU already takes the lead, then we can expect something good. The single-threaded results chart reaches a proper 3495 points, which is the fastest CPU for 1T workloads, even faster than the Core i9-10900K at 3177 points. Ryzen 5 5600X is a six-core part rated at 65 Watts with a 3.7 GHz base and 4.6 GHz boost clock.
