AMD Raven Ridge is rumored to launch Ryzen 3 2200G and Ryzen 5 2400G APUs by February 12th. However, in Asia, the first samples have shown up and have been tested with some benchmark results to show for.
The first published pictures are out as well, two models are delivered in an updated packaging, the focus is also on the integrated Vega graphics unit.
The technical data of the new APUs have already been confirmed by AMD. The first two models Ryzen 3 2200G and Ryzen 5 2400G will be the first CPU / APUs to receive official support of DDR4-2933 in dual-channel operation. Memory is an elementary link for AMD's APU to get the highest performance possible. For integrated graphics the memory cannot be fast enough as that system memory is used. The packaging is different with visually integrated a "AMD Radeon Vega Graphics" logo. The product names will be long alright:
- AMD Ryzen 3 2200G with Radeon Vega 8 graphics
- AMD Ryzen 5 2400G with Radeon Vega 11 graphics.
The Ryzen 3 2200G is expected to be priced (MSRP) at the USD $99.99 marker and Ryzen 5 2400G at $169.99; both APUs are now said to launch in the retail channel on the 12th of February.
AMD has announced the specifications of two of these APU's: the Ryzen 3 2200G and the Ryzen 5 2400G. As all AM4 platforms are currently being prepared with Raven Ridge BIOS updates and thus the Ryzen 2000 CPUs as well, the upcoming new processors would launch alongside new X470 motherboards. The motherboard manufacturers claim support speeds of up to 4000 MHz.

In addition to the new photos published in the Baidu community, there is also a first benchmark that shows all Raven Ridge both from notebook and from the desktop. The Ryzen 5 2400G as the fastest APU for the time being has four more threads, in addition to 11 CUs and even higher clock rates push the model to the lead. However, it is 70 percent more expensive. Further and even more meaningful tests besides 3DMark will likely leak in the coming days until February 12, the official release date.
