AMD Radeon RX 460 2GB and 470 4GB 10 bucks cheaper

Upcoming week the GeForce GTX 1050 and 1050 Ti will become available. Apparently that makes AMD or its board partners a little nervous as numerous sources now indicate a sudden price-drop of 10 USD on both cards.

Now I have a bit of a hard time grasping if this actually is an AMD move or an AIB move, however the prices indeed did drop and apparently some websites have received confirmation about it. This means that the SRP  on the products now are 100 and 170 USD for the Radeon RX 460 2GB and 470 4GB. To compare a little, a 1050 will cost 109 USD and the 1050 Ti 139 USD. Considering there are no benchmarks releases on the two new GeForce products (upcoming Tuesday the embargo on that lifts and yes reviews here!) so you cannot really compare the products among each other at this moment.

The price drop mention seems to focus soley on the USA though, here in the EU the prices remained levels thus far. The new prices become effective today Sunday, October 23 and the GeForce GTX 1050 series will start selling at the 25th of October, 2016. Earlier this week we also received a slide deck from AMD, check the info by clicking the thumbnails below.
