DigiTimes reports AMD is prepping Hondo, a 40nm Bobcat based processor with a TDP of 4-5W. This chip will arrive in Q4 2012 and intends to take on Intel's Clover Trail-W CPUs in the Windows 8 tablet market.
AMD is also set to release Tamesh processors to replace Hondo in 2013 with architecture upgraded from Bobcat to Jaguar. The new CPU's performance and power consumption are both expected to be further enhanced from Hondo.
After recently announcing its Trinity processors for notebooks, AMD is ready to announce models for desktops including A10-5800k, A10-5700, A8-5600k and A8-5500. The company will then release A6-5400K and A4-5300 in the fourth quarter. All the processors are manufactured by Globalfoundries with a 32nm process.
