Hmm, perhaps related to the Sandy Bridge debacle AMD decided to jump in and enforce some new price-cuts on some of its quad and six-core processors. The 955 BE, 965 BE and 970 BE have seen a $10 drop in price, but the true pricedrop is to be found in the 6-core Phenom II range:
The 1055T price was slashed to $175 down from $199, while the 1090T saw a decent $30 cut as that Phenom II 1090T can be purchased now for just $205.
So yeah, you can get a pretty beefy six-core processor for give or take $200. Check the thumbnail for the updated price-chart.
