Acer has announced two new models in its 2015 refresh of the Aspire Z Series all-in-one PCs, the 23.8-inch Aspire Z3-710 and the 19.5-inch ZC-700. Both models feature a Full HD (1920x1080) LED backlit display with the Z3-710's screen also sporting capacitive 10-point multi-touch.
The two new all-in-ones are geared towards multi-media delivery and communication with built-in stereo speakers using Acer TrueHarmony™ and Dolby Digital Plus™ Home Theater® technology, a 1080p camera and dual microphones (Z3-710 only), all packaged in a sleek 36 mm thick chassis.
Details on the specifications of the central components are currently unavailable but each model will have an Intel® Core™, Pentium®, or Celeron® processor (Intel® Core™ processors will only be available on the Z3-710), up to 8GB of memory, a maximum of 2TB hard drive storage, and an optional DVD Super Multi optical drive.
Acer's own BluelightShield™ technology will also feature on both the Z3-710 and ZC-700 to help reduce eye strain by decreasing the blue light emitted from the screen, while an SD card reader slot and the most frequently used outputs and inputs occupy space down the side. Both models will ship with Windows 8.1 but the free Windows 10 upgrade will receive support from Acer upon its release later this year. Exact specifications, prices, and availability will vary by region and are yet to be confirmed, the new two model line-up is scheduled for release in Q3 of 2015.
