Intel will launch its new Intel Comet Lake-H processors for laptops, and a leak occurred on the web, showing all final specifications from twhat seem to be official Intel slides.
The product series will be lead by the Intel Core i9-10980HK, the only Core i9 in the line, which as we had previously anticipated will have a base frequency of 2.4GHz, a single-core boost of 5.3GHz, 8 cores and 16 threads, TDP of 45W , and will support Intel Thermal Velocity Boost and overclocking via XTU thanks to its unlocked multiplier.
The i7 line will be a little confusing, as the i7-10875H will have 8 cores and 16 threads, but the i7-10850H and i7-10750H will have 6 cores and 12 threads , so the differences between models will be larger than usual . Finally there are the Core i5, with 4 cores and 8 threads, and without Thermal Velocity Boost. Frequencies can be found in the table.
This new line has Turbo Boost Max 3.0, support for DDR4-2933, Speed Optimizer to overclock in a single click, support for WI-Fi 6, support for up to 128GB of ram memory, up to 40 PCI-Express 3.0 lines for expansion, Thunderbolt 3, Optane support, and optimization for the latest discrete graphics.
If you are looking to update your laptop from a few years ago, Intel assures that we will see improvements over 50% in games and over 40% in multi-core tasks, so they will be a good update.
The slides and info have leaked at HD Tecnologia.
