So here's where we'll start with the actual review. First things first, let's have a look at packaging.
So there's the boxing, the chassis is carefully packaged in a plastic bag and Styrofoam. You'd have to really do you best to damage is really; then again ... UPS could probably manage that, easily ;)
There's a little box with the standards like manual extra 3.5" drive cover, cabling, tie wraps but also the plastic pieces, which are the feet of the chassis, you need to slide them into place yourself (really easy).
Once unpacked one of the first things you'll get aware of is the sleek design. Now obviously that's very personal, but I like chassis with a certain simplicity, and that is something the MS1000-HS2 definitely has in store for us. As you can see, you'll spot four outer 5.25" drive bays, and below it two big doors .. let's see what is behind them.
Here we go, easy access from the frontside bezel towards no less than three swappable SATA bays behind each door. You can install up-to six SATA drives fairly convenient and access them quickly though the front-side of the chassis. Great for easy access and preserving cable madness inside the PC. We'll show you this feature in depth over the next few pages though.
Each drive section as you can see on the above photo, is a removable cage that holds three 3.5 hard disk drive bays, the cage can be positioned anywhere in any of the 5.25" compartments of your preference.
