A heat spreader does not always bring the temperature down. Rather than that, it moves the heat from the chips to the PCB, distributing it more evenly throughout the entire module, and eliminating potential hot-spots. Theoretically, this should allow better overclocking. Zadak Spark RGB memory is a rather high-profile kit (as it’s 49.7 mm high).
