Page 5 - Installation in USB mode

The installation process for USBĀ is very similar towards the Ethernet function and is done in three easy to handle steps. Basically the windows Plug and Play sequence. If you use USB 2.0 then please make sure you have SP1 of Windows XP installed as USB 2.0 compatibility is enabled in it.

1. Check if the mode switch on the back of the device is set to USB (upward direction). 2. Connect power cable and USB cable to power and USB connectors respectively. 3. Check if computer recognizes USB automatically. (Otherwise install USB driver from the CD)

Once the plug and pray sequence ended you'll notice a mass-storage device. It's as simple as this ... no need for additional software like we saw in the Ethernet configuration.
