AMD Ryzen Supported?

AMD Ryzen processor support

Throughout this review, we have tested on an Intel platform. That's what this kit is designed for, but I just know I'd get the question, will these DIMMs work on AMD Ryzen.

The answer is yes, of course, you need the latest AMD AGESA Firmware update for your motherboard. We tested on the ASUS Crosshair VII Hero (Wifi)  Tachi motherboard.

So this merely was enabling XMP (or whatever it's called in your motherboard BIOS), and after your saved the setting and a reboot, our Ryzen 5 2600X booted absolutely stable into windows with four DIMMs installed.

Value for money - 3200 MHz works by just enabling XMP. This is with two DIMMs, BIOS flick XMP and booting. We expected nothing less from Samsung B-Die ICs of course. Since we're on the topic ... would a tweak be possible?

The million dollar question - Can we do 3600 MHz on Ryzen Gen 2?

And yeah, it tweaks really well. Leave XMP enabled, make sure DRAM Voltage is at 1.35v, set the memory frequency towards 3600 MHz, and you'll boot into windows totally stable, which is lovely value and a very nice equilibrium with gaming as well. Much like on the Intel platform, we, however, could not get 3866 MHz stable. But yeah, again .. tweak a little and this 3200 MHz rated memory runs 3600 MHz on Ryzen.
