SSD Performance Real World Benchmarks
Real-World Benchmarks
The storage benchmark of PCMark8 is based on traces from Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe After Effects, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, World of Warcraft, and Battlefield 3. The total score is determined by the geometric mean of the different parts. Again, the traces are measured in 'real-time', and include idle time. The score is an average of three runs for all ten of the trace tests. All scores on this page are given as the number of seconds needed for the workflow to finish up, so lower is better.
