A double data-rate introduction
Team Group T-Force XTREEM ARGB 3600 MHz DDR4
CL14-15-15-35 and exquisite looks
We review what I deem to be one of the nicest looking and fastest DDR4 memory kits ever. Meet the all-new XTREEM ARGB CL14 kit from Team Group. This T-Force 16GB (x2 8GB) memory is magic to your eyes, runs a very fast 3600 MHz, and has XMP 2.0 memory profiles compatible with both intel and Ryzen platforms as well. Not only is the memory stunning to see, but it also runs configured at CL14-15-15-35.
DDR4 memory modules you can choose plenty from, the cheap but dull all-green Kingston Value memory, for example, works absolutely fine. Then the regular mainstream DIMMs, then step it up a little and high-frequency memory is a hint faster and often cooler looking inside your PC with the fancy designs and heat spreaders. The product tested today has simple aluminum heat spreaders, all black. Then there's enthusiast-grade memory for the performance enthusiasts. Team Group is based in Taiwan, a brand we've been working with for a while now as I do believe their products affordable yet offer really good quality and stability. The DIMMs we received today are mainstream to high-end, as they clock in at 3600 MHz (effective through XMP) but have a CL rating of just 18. Stylish RAM for the people that need fast performance, the people that build their own PCs and perhaps customize them a little. In that mindset, this brand has released an updated SKU based on quality, performance, and aesthetics. No LEDs but pretty cool with great dark looks and an XMP that can be enabled with a simple profile in your BIOS. We received a dual-channel kit, 16GB accumulated, thus holding 8 GB each.
T-FORCE XTREEM ARGB DDR4 Gaming Memory is kind of special, it has a mirror reflection design concept combined with an RGB lighting effect that will make you stare at the product, really. The default animation is mind-boggling, however, as the title indicates, this has an addressable RGB system, meaning you can control the LEDs with ASUS Aura Sync / GIGABYTE RGB Fusion 2.0 / MSI Mystic Light Sync / ASROCK-Polychrome Sync software.
Team Group XTREEM ARGB is available in frequencies running from 3200 MHz up to 4000 MHz and capacities of up to 16 GB (2x8 GB) with varying timings. They also focus on Ryzen system stability with this kit and offer a seriously low latency kit which we have gotten our hands-on. We'll check that out of course.
