Easy access and installation of your mainboard and gear. We are all spoiled by retractable and removable mainboard trays but did anybody ever think about this ? How fracking cool is that ? It's like opening the door of your super-car. The latches are easy and smooth to open. And with a little pressure you pop the door right back into place. A perfect fit and it feels really sturdy.
This goes for both sides of the chassis. Make not of the fan-duct, it provides your CPU "area" with air from outside (which is cooler than ambient temperature). This is what Pininfarina is all about, the design while being aesthetic yet making it a practical product.
If you have both side doors open you can see right through the chassis and basically access anything you want very easily. The doors invented by this is actually called the butterfly opening.
Once we zoom in a little we can see that even the mainboard mounts (ATX) are pre-fitted for you. Just place the mainboard on there and mount it securely.
Here we have a closer look at the inside of the chassis. The case has plenty of space for your gear. There are three 5.25" drive bays and a total of 5 3.5" drive bays. Included are 2 80 mm fans and at the front a 120x120x25mm fan all the way below in front of the drive-bay. Also a 120mm Fan Duct is included. Notice the fan on the side ? As you might have seen, the Pininfarina comes with side panels that allow ventilation via the side raster openings.
Now, focus on the small black clip all the way below the drivebay.
Pull it down and then towards you...
