The Connect module is installed in place in the default state.
Routing the cables at the back of the motherboard tray wasn’t very difficult. The EPS power plugs should be plugged in earlier if you want to install a radiator at the top. The inside is very flexible in terms of the installation process. It’s possible to remove the 3.5” bays if you want to fully. There is about 22 mm of cable clearance.
The front provides space for up to 360 mm radiators, the top can fit 280 mm, and the back – 120 mm. We installed our old/trustworthy NZXT Kraken X62 (280 mm LCS) at the top (to not remove the two stock 120 mm fans at the front) to take measurements. Like most other chassis, there is a cover for the power supply unit at the bottom. The power supply used can only be mounted in one direction. It can be a disadvantage, especially if you want to use the supplied power adapter in the hybrid mode because, in this case, the warm exhaust air cannot simply rise into the case’s interior.
We could accommodate and mount the test system in the Arch Q503 without problems. The cables were also easy to connect and lay. The cable management, in combination with the CONNECT power supply, is convincing. Still, the result doesn’t look quite as tidy as in the SYNCRO Q704, where the connections of the CONNECT module can also be used directly in the mainboard chamber.
