T1 SSD - Installation
The Samsung T1 is a plug and play device, however you will need to run an installation suite before you can really use it. The reason here is that you can opt to use this product as a simple plug & play storage unit like say a USB flash drive. However, you can add a layer of security as well. The T1 SSD can be protected with a username and password, once accomplished all files will be encoded with a 256-bit AES encryption. The Samsung Portable SSD T1 uses the exFAT file system, eliminating the hassle of having to reformat for every type of computer.
Once you connect the drive you will spot a small utility called "Samsung Portable SSd.exe", it is located on a small 128MB partition. You need to run it once before you can start using the unit.
