Installation and Testing
We decided to use one of the audio review systems to test this PSU. The system consists of:
PSU: Core I7 860
Mobo:MSI P55 GD80
RAM: G-Skill 2 X 4GB DDR3 1600 Modules
HDD: Western Digital 2 X 640 GB SATA II (RAID)
OPT: Lite-On iHES11229
GFX: NVidia GTX260 Core 216
AUD: ASUS Xonar Essence STX
This PSU was easy to install, with 4 standard screws which are included in the kit. We connected up the Motherboard ATX, 12V connector for the CPU and graphics card. The modular aspect keeps the case rather clean, free of unneeded cables.
We followed up with connecting the SATA devices and powered up the system. Last but not least the molex tap for the Asus Essence STX soundcard. Ready for launch, T-minus 10 seconds..Power on!
