Product Showcase

We'll now start up our photo shoot and talk you through the product. Packaging for the Azoth is in line with the standard ROG style, but it includes an unusually comprehensive accessory kit for a pre-built gaming keyboard. The kit features a keyboard, a travel bag, ROG stickers, a user manual, a USB receiver, a keycap puller, a switch puller, a set of feet, and three additional ROG NX switches.

The presentation—from the packaging to the quality of the accessories—emphasizes the high-end status of this product. And yeah the entire package weighs in at 3.8kg (!).

Measuring 13.07 inches (332mm) wide, 5.47 inches (139mm) deep, and 1.57 inches (40mm) high, the Azoth Extreme is slightly larger and heavier, weighing 1,460g compared to the original's non extreme version at 1,186g. This increased weight is primarily due to its full aluminum alloy chassis, which offers improved durability and a premium feel. One of the more noticeable changes is the addition of a magnetic, detachable wrist rest, made of silicone and aluminum alloy. The wrist rest features a soft-touch matte rubber finish, providing comfort during extended typing sessions. The base of the wrist rest includes rubber feet for enhanced stability. The keyboard also includes two sets of magnetic metal feet, which allow for customizable typing angles by propping up the keyboard to different heights. The Azoth Extreme retains a 75-percent layout, which omits a numeric keypad and includes a four-key navigation row instead of the more common six-key cluster found on tenkeyless (TKL) models. The keyboard’s design is further distinguished by a bladed metal buckle that wraps around its sides and top, enhancing its aesthetic appeal.

The keycaps are made from black doubleshot PBT with shine-through legends, providing durability and clear visibility in low-light environments. The Azoth Extreme also features a 1.4-inch color OLED screen in the upper-right corner, paired with a three-way control knob. This OLED screen supports touch gestures, allowing users to scroll through different display modes by swiping and to access additional settings by double-tapping. However, the smaller screen size may reduce touch accuracy, making the knob more reliable for navigation. The keyboard includes 81 hot-swappable keys and the same spring-loaded control knob as the original Azoth, providing easy access to volume control and other functions.

Connectivity is a key feature of the Azoth Extreme, which includes a wireless dongle and a braided USB-A to USB-C cable for charging and wired connections.
