Our ASUS Zenbook S 16 (model UM5606) is powered by the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor and thus is a 12-core processor which includes 4 Zen 5 cores and 8 Zen5c cores, which are optimized for different workloads. The processor architecture is based on AMD's latest Strix Point APU design, offering a balance of performance and efficiency for advanced computing tasks.
The Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 integrates a Radeon 890M iGPU built on RDNA 3.5 architecture. This integrated GPU features 1,024 shaders, 64 texture units, 32 ROPs (render output units), and 16 ray tracing accelerators, providing robust graphics performance for tasks such as rendering, gaming, and multimedia creation. The system also includes an XDNA 2-based NPU (Neural Processing Unit), which delivers up to 50 TOPS (Tera Operations Per Second) of peak Int8 compute performance, contributing to a total of 81 TOPS across the CPU, GPU, and NPU for AI-enhanced workloads. The ASUS Zenbook S 16 is equipped with 32GB of LPDDR5X-7500 memory, ensuring high bandwidth and low latency for memory-intensive tasks. Storage connectivity is provided through PCIe Gen 4, allowing for faster data transfer speeds.
