So to enable the Boost functionality we took our reference 7950 and simply flashed it with a firmware patch we received from AMD.

Now, The VBIOS update we distributed is only meant for the AMD 7950 reference board: AMD does not plan to make this BIOS available publicly. It is intended to update original HD 7950 press sample boards. So the AMD BIOS update is intended to be used on the batch of original Radeon HD 7950 media samples.

However, if your R7950 graphics card has a device ID of 679A, it can be flashed with this patch:
