The Temjin chassis series is what they call Extended ATX Design meaning you can install any number of "Large" motherboards including the standard and Micro ATX designs. So while the photos make it appear to be rather small there is more than enough room for all your gear, and the ASUS board is really pretty big. For our CPU however we will have to cope with somewhat regular cooling for now. Components we'll be settling with for the time being:
- Chassis - Silverstone Temjin TJ-10 aluminum
- Motherboard - ASUS X58 Rampage II Extreme ROG
- Intel Core i7 965 @ 3750 MHz
- Memory - OCZ DDR3 6 GB 1600 MHz 9:9:9:24
- PSU - 1200 Watt
- 2x HDD (one OS for ATI, one OS for NVIDIA)
- 1x Optical drive.
As you can see we opt for a very strong basis to work with. With enough raw processor power and memory bandwith, features of the mainboard and this PC can stay ahead for at least a year. That way it'll be able to cope with the hottest graphics cards to be relased. But fact is, a year from now .. a PC like this (components wise) will be hitting mainstream already. The development rate in the technology industry is anything but short from amazing, for real.
So this waaahaay far from finished as a lot of wiring and lighting needs to be done. But this will be the theme for the chassis, dark, blue ... and nice UV lighting throughout the system. I think this will create a nice dark theme.
In twilight and dark conditions, Project-X will really start showing off. Now please understand that at this stage everything needed to be properly aligned (cables) and lighting positioned.
