Plextor delivers a software suite with their SSD series. This will help you check and update your SSD. These are older example screenshots we took. The M7V series is the first Plextor entry-level SSD that supports all three SSD software applications.
 

PlexTurbo Smart Cache Technology can effectively reduce the number of write accesses to extend the service life of the SSD. PlexCompressor Smart Compression Technology automatically compresses files that have not been used for more than 30 days to increase the SSD's available space. A secure storage area provided by PlexVault allows your private/sensitive data to be hidden on a shared computer.

PlexTurbo

PlexTurbo is something you might want to look into. Basically you assign a chunk of your System memory, DRAM towards the SSD as a cache pool. That way often used data can be cached and retrieved faster. It'll also boost your benchmarks, realistically the benchmarks are measured in the cache... and that's your system memory, not the SSD. Hence that is the reason why this is never activated in benchmarks. Also in case of a system crash, the data that resides inside that cache will be lost and irretrievable. Using caching tricks like these are debatable, Windows itself also caches a lot of applications to memory already. It's good for benchmarks though:
