The photo doesn't show it, but all the way to the left under the cap there are two pins. Apply the supplied jumper, and you are able to flash the firmware of this device.
Installation wise it's the same as a traditional HDD. Pop it in, connect it, bind it, format it and you are good to go at horribly fast speeds.
