After your drive is initialized, it's good to select the quick setup wizard. Here you can assign a static IP if you like to do so, rename the device and set basic stuff like TIME and timezone.

The device can also retrieve and update time through the internet connection, through time.windows.com etc

We leave things as they are, the Corza made a DHCP lease and is fully operational. It's advised though to give the unit a static IP. Like 192.168.1.50 so you always know where your NAS unit is located IP wise. If you lost the device due to an IP change, in windows just type: //CORZA-NAS

If you like to go a little more advanced and geeky; you can setup user and group rights, that's possible as well.

This way you can assign the folks related groups who logon to the box each their own network share (partition), quotas, limitations, complete access.

BTW if this all is too complex for you, one account with administrator rights will gain access to everything and anything of course. If you have setup everything you can access your shares. Either you do it though FTP login and just plain old silly Windows Networking.

Another feature I loved to see; a plain old FTP server. Included in the software is an FTP server, full username/group based. It's fairly limited in terms of wide configuration but all standard features are there, you can even assign ports, NFS shares and put limitations in regarding user quotas.

There are some other features to be found as well.

• Bonjour:  Set up Bonjour service and streaming options for support of iTunes and Apple networking software.

• TorrentFlux:  Set up the remote BitTorrent capabilities.  Use the software update on the disk to enable this option.

But enough tech sysadmin chatter, let's have a look at performance.
