DX9: Hard Reset
DX9: Hard Reset
Hard Reset is a PC-exclusive FPS from The Flying Wild Hog, a Polish developer that is made up from members of the team behind Painkiller (People Can Fly), and former developers from CD Projekt Red and City Interactive.
In development since April 2009, the game features a cyberpunk plot. It draws inspiration from William Gibson, Neal Stephenson, and Philip K. Dick (especially Blade Runner in story). In gameplay, Serious Sam is the main inspiration; explosive barrels and large hordes of enemies will be prominent within the game. There is no multiplayer.

Hard Reset was added into our benchmark suite as it has a handy to use benchmark mode that is very representative of the in-game graphics engine performance.
For the 4GB Palit JetStream model card in today's review I'd like to ask you to FOCUS on the 2560x1600 monitor resolution, IF the extra 2Gb of graphics would make any difference, it would show in that resolution as it is a graphics memory limited resolution. As you can see it has no effect on perf though.
Not too many other results for now as we just recently inserted this benchmark. But as you can see the GeForce GTX 680 definitely likes DX9 titles. Impressive performance, clearly.
Since we recently tested it we included all other GTX 680 cards as well. The Palit 2GB thanks to its factory overclock is excellent in performance. The 4GB version however with its default clocks will show baseline performance.
