BIOS Features
Welcome to the new Walhalla of BIOS features, I'm not discussing all of them but this is a tweakers wet dream. I think DFI is the only manufacturer that ever came close to what we see in this BIOS in terms of tweakability. With ANY 590 series mainboard you'll receive a custom BIOS that exposes and allows settings as displayed today. Manufacturers will not be certified if they dumb down the BIOS. With the 590series you get choices my friend.
This is your new bootup screen. Press "Del" here would ya ?
NVIDIA felt it was important to display the current parameters of components, including a very wide range of frequencies, multipliers, and voltages so users would have more information to adjust settings manually. Let's dig in.
Here is an example on Adjustable Voltages alone.
- The CPU voltage can be adjusted from 1.85V to 0.375V in 25mV increments.
- The Memory voltage can be adjusted from 1.825V to 2.5V in 25mV increments.
- The HT CPU to nForce SPP voltage can be adjusted from 1.225V to 1.4V in 25mV increments.
- The HT nForce SPP to MCP voltage can be adjusted from 1.325V to 1.5V in 25mV increments.
- The nForce SPP voltage can be adjusted from 1.25V to 1.4V in 50mV increments.
- The nForce MCP voltage can be adjusted from 1.525V to 1.7V in 25mV increments.
- The Auxiliary voltage that goes to the MCP core while in standby and is used to keep the MCP active in sleep mode, can be set to 1.6V or 1.7V.
