MSI Spatium M570 PRO FROZR review

The MSI Spatium M570 PRO FROZR represents the latest addition to the PCIe 5.0 NVMe SSD market and this round from MSI, featuring up-to 4TB capacity. This solid-state drive is engineered with a Phison E26 controller and employs the latest 3D TLC NAND technology, which utilizes 232-layer architecture. The SSD achieves high-performance metrics, offering sustained read/write speeds of up to 12 GB/s. A key feature of the MSI Spatium M570 PRO is its advanced cooling solution. The device includes a substantial (read huge) heatsink designed to efficiently dissipate heat. This cooling system incorporates well-designed Core Pipes and an optimally surfaced heatsink, all housed under an aesthetically pleasing cover. The heatsink is engineered to reduce SSD temperatures by up to 20℃, thereby maintaining optimal performance levels under load (according to MSI).

In terms of physical construction, the SSD leverages precision-machined heatpipes, ensuring maximum contact and effective heat distribution across the heatsink. Despite its enhanced cooling capabilities and high storage capacity, the MSI Spatium M570 PRO maintains a compact form factor, thanks to its advanced 3D NAND flash technology. From a performance perspective, the SSD is optimized for the PCIe Gen5 interface, achieving sequential read/write speeds up to 12,400/11,800 MB/s. This high level of performance is sustained by the effective thermal design of the device.
