Above, the percentile chart of the 30 seconds gaming @ 2560x1440. Here we plot FPS and place it in relation to percentiles.
- 50% of the time measured frames is doing roughly 95 FPS.
- 5% of the frames is at 75 FPS or lower.
Frame experience wise we see that the GTX 780 is pretty much flawless, there is a glitch for the 780, but it remains under 25ms, and that you just can't see with your own eyes as it is a split-second bahaviour.
For those that do not understand what you are looking at, the above is a gametime scene (the Brands Hatch Circuit) recorded for 30 seconds. With this chart, lower = better. Huge spikes above 40-50ms can be considered a problem like a stutter or indicate a low framerate.
