The backside has all your standard stuff... see something weird already? That's right, the power supply unit (PSU) is placed at the bottom of the PC. It's like placing the thing in Australia (g'day mate). BTW look at that 120mm fan exhaust, fantastic design where you can mount a duct on to reduce noise. Basically the entire standard PC casing design is turned up-side down. That means you'll have to open up your PC on the "wrong" side also (right side).

Toolless removal and installing with almost everything, you gotta love that. Big thumbscrews. If you look closely at the edge of the side panels you'll notice they are ribbed, Lian-Li has a fancy name it, they call it a Crenulate edge. The ribbed edge goes all round each side panel and will help you in removing the side panels.

Now this is tricky, the side doors are secured with a central locking system that will allow you to remove the side panels with one thumb screw on either side. Getting the doors open is quite a puzzle! You unlock the thumbscrew and pull the little iron bar. Now you move the panel (from the top) a little to the right and gently (or with brute force :) Pull the plating in an upward position. This took me 5 minutes the first time to figure out as we did not receive a manual. Trust me, it looks more simple then it actually is if you don't know how it works.
 

Once we remove the case plating we see the "skinny" yet very innovative inside. If the outside view of the case did not surprise you, the inside will for sure. Basically you are looking at three compartments here. A few curiosities, the mainboard's position is mirrored (located) at the left (normally at the right). The PSU is below the mainboard, the HD bays are below the mainboard at the bottom to your left. Weird huh?

The mainboard needs to be fixed secure on the motherboard tray. I was a little surprised not to find a removable tray as most other Lian-Li cases have. I loved that feature, not a huge issue though, it's just something that you'll notice once you know your way around Lian-Li cases. Supplied are of course all screws and mounting nuts, even a little screwdriver to seat these mounting nuts.
