 It’s time for the conclusion. The Lian Li O11 DYNAMIC Mini is an interesting expansion to an already well-known series targeted at liquid cooling enthusiasts. It doesn’t really differ from its older brothers (the regular O11 Dynamic and the O11 DYNAMIC XL) in terms of the visual aspect. One of the upsides is the price, as it’s 99.99 USD. The size is also rather typical of an ITX/mATX case, but you can fit ATX motherboards here as well. You won’t find any RGB here by default, nor any fans, so you can choose everything to suit your needs. The internal layout is based on two chambers, with the PSU installed at the right side of the case. The installation process is rather straightforward, and you shouldn’t have any major issues here, but you need to remember that your PSU has to be an SFX/SFX-L one, nothing bigger. The build quality is great. Two-color variants are available: black (reviewed here) and white so that you can match the color to your preference and gear. The left side panel works fine.

Features

You don’t get any fans or the RGB here, nor a fan hub or anything like that. Liquid cooling capacity is great for this chassis size, as you can install up to a 280 mm rad on the side and a 360 one at the top/bottom. There’s enough space for 395-mm-long GPUs, 170-mm-tall CPU coolers, and an SFX/SFX-L PSU. That’s all you need in typical liquid cooling builds (with no SLI/CF). The I/O panel has a standard set of two USB 3.0 ports, one USB 3.1 Type-C port, and audio jacks. As for the things that are different here, there’s the Vertical GPU kit that can be bought separately.

Aesthetics

Looks are always a subjective matter. The new O11 DYNAMIC MINI design is very classy (and tiny for an ATX-format case). There are two tempered glass panels here, and it really allows you to showcase the interior. 

The Verdict

The Lian Li O11 DYNAMIC Mini is below the average size for an ATX chassis. This is a case definitely aimed at the water cooling enthusiast. The tempered glass side and the front is where the magic happens, as the chassis is all about the front and left side’s 'open' feel and view of your PC’s components and cooling. You get a classy and great look here, with no RGB and fans by default. The build quality is great. No fan hubs are provided either, but there are fan filters, of course. The maximum motherboard form factor you can use is ATX, and you can install 360 + 360 + 280 mm water-cooling radiators and a 170 mm air cooler for the CPU. Moving on to storage, the case fits up to four drives (two 2.5” + two 2.5 or 3.5” bays). The installation process was pleasant. As for the features that we particularly liked, it’s the size and the option to choose different setups (by changing the MoBo format). There’s also the option to buy a vertical GPU kit, so that’s another way to achieve a better-looking setup. Overall, it’s a very nice chassis, with a price tag of 99.99 USD, which seems rather reasonable. A limiting factor would be the SFX/SFX-L PSU requirement, but that’s the trade-off for the overall small size of this ATX case. Water cooling enthusiasts should love it because the features provided here would be more than enough for a typical AMD/Intel system with a single GPU. Putting all these points together, we’re awarding the Lian Li O11 DYNAMIC Mini the “Recommended” award.
