Lexar NM800 Pro 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD (PCIe Gen 4.0)
Breaching 7 GB/sec and exceptional access times
The NM800PRO Series M.2 PCIe 4.0 x4 SSDs from Lexar are designed for gaming and multimedia producer PCs. Furthermore, new products can be added to the Sony PlayStation 5 console. The M.2 2280 format devices are built with 3D TLC NAND flash memory microchips (TLC: three bits of information per cell). Buyers can select between a model that includes or does not include a cooling heatsink. The series includes versions with 512 GB, 1 TB, and 2 TB capacities. The junior version has a sequential reading/writing speed of 7450/3500 MB/s. These figures are 7500/6300 MB/s and 7500/6500 MB/s for the remaining two disks. The devices are said to be capable of withstanding 0.535 rewrites daily (DWPD). The temperature range of operation is 0 to +70 degrees Celsius. The claimed time between failures (MTBF) is 1.5 million hours on average. The drives come with a five-year warranty. With speeds of up to 7500 MB/s read and 6500 MB/s write, the Lexar Professional NM800 M.2 2280 NVMe SSD puts you in the computing fast lane. The Lexar NM800 PRO SSD uses a 12 nm controller to deliver lower power consumption and extended battery life for all of your high-performance computing needs. The Lexar NM800PRO SSD, unlike traditional hard disk drives, has no moving parts and is thus built to last. Furthermore, it is shock and vibration-resistant, making it a tough and dependable SSD. With PCIe Gen4 x4 NVMe 1.4 technology and backward compatibility with PCIe 3.0, you can experience 2x faster speeds than PCIe 3.0 SSDs and up to 12x faster than SATA SSDs. TBW values are okay; 512GB for 500TB, 1TB for 1000TB and for 2TB that is 2000TB.
The Lexar NM800 Pro comes with a 5-year warranty and costs roughly $110 (500GB), $144 (1TB), and $240. (2TB). We will focus on the 1TB capacity version with a heatsink for this review. Next page and onwards into the review then.
