Multi Display Game performance
Multi Display performance
Now we could not leave this article without showing you some numbers on three-monitor performance as well. We'll do this fairly simple, on the page below we note the game and the performance versus resolutions. The image quality settings have not changed over the ingle GPU performance benchmarks we just did.
If you find it weird that three monitors at 3840x1024 pixels perform slightly better then one monitor at 2560x1600, then think again and calculate, the 38x10 resolution pushes roughly 3.9 Mpixels for the render and the 25x16 resolutions close to 4.1 Mpixels per second.
DX11: Battlefield Bad Company 2
Crysis 2 - DX11 - High Res Textures 4xA
DX9: Call of Duty - Modern Warfare 2 4xAA
DX9: Far Cry 2 8xAA
As you can imagine, the modern titles easily run into performance issues. The older batches however work quite well.
