Final Words & Conclusion

What an intriguing chassis In-Win offers with the 805. It remains a fairly compact chassis, yet you can house even an ATX motherboard in there. You'd expect that airflow would be a conundrum, yet it works out really well by having a huge air intake at the bottom while the rear fan exhaust. And then the most important thing, the combination of dark brushed aluminum combined with dark tempered glass at both sides and the front side make this chassis a mysterious to look at, it really has terrific looks.

The In-Win 805 has pretty much everything you need or require. The airflow is good enough, the space (albeit limited to regular ATX motherboards offers plenty of options, features like the SSD/HDD space, ease of use and USB 3.0 ports are all available as well. Lacking however is an integrated fan controller and perhaps a better lighting solution. The one LED is harbored inside the rear fan, we used a LED strip in the front for the lighting to really pop out (which we think is what this chassis needs).

Aesthetics

The looks then, hey I like the In-Win 805 model with its dark feel and see through finish, you can't argue taste as it is the most subjective thing and does not make the job of reviewer any easier. Some will dislike it, and others will love this chassis for its looks. Each and every little aspect of the chassis has been thought through really well. The design of the chassis has been made to make your life a little easier while combining the best features an enthusiast crowd seeks in a chassis. But yeah, this is a well thought through product with okay cooling, dust filters, USB 3.0 integration and relatively tool free design. The glass side and front panels obviously give it the killer looks.

Features

The internals are pretty decent as well, normal ATX form factor motherboards will fit, the more lengthy graphics card will fit as well. There's also nice space for liquid cooling on the front side, the drive bay can be removed and there is sufficient space for two HDDs and many SSDs. The chassis has nice motherboard cutout and there's enough space left for cable routing through the grommet holes, all in that all-black aluminum interior. The one downside is the visibility of the power supply, or more overly all the wires. But if you stick to black cabling and a modular PSU, that problem nearly eliminates itself.

The Verdict

The In-Win 805 is a chassis that will please many. it is light weight, has an aluminum body and obviously the see-trough design with the tempered glass side panels really kick things into 6th gear.  Design wise I have very little to complain, the chassis is easy to use and fairly maintenance free. You have plenty of storage options alongside good cable routing. Everything sits in the right place as well. The new small USB 3.1 (TYPE-C) connector is a bit of a gimmick, but sure, nice to see. The airflow is plenty enough for any decent build, the air intake ate the bottom is huge (covered by a dust filter with magnets). The one gripe might be the fact that you can see the PSU connectors, perhaps a PSU compartment would have made the chassis a notch better, but I am truly nitpicking here. In the end, this chassis is very unique, pop some LED lights in there and you will be amazed. We can recommend very much as it does offer an excellent combination of features, requirements and comes with terrific looks.
