Final Words & Conclusion
Final Words & Conclusion
The In Win 303 is an excellent little chassis that doesn't really work in a photo studio, we had a hard time fighting off mirror effects and lights. Hence, in a real world situation, this chassis does look better then the photos show. That said, it's a lovely thing of beauty. The one gripe for some might be the lack of storage as some will miss optical storage units, other may find two HDD or SSDs too small of a number. Other then that the chassis covers it all though. For a mid tower the 303 remains a fairly compact chassis, yet you can house even an ATX motherboard in there. You'd expect that airflow would be a conundrum, yet it works out really well by having a huge air intake at the bottom while the right side fan exhausts.
With that said, we feel airflow is good enough, the space (albeit limited to regular ATX motherboards offers plenty of options, features like the SSD/HDD space, ease of use and USB 3.0 ports are all available as well. Lacking however is an integrated fan controller and perhaps an actual lighting solution.
Aesthetics
The looks then, I do like the In-Win 303 model with its dark feel and see through finish, you can't argue taste as it is the most subjective thing and does not make the job of reviewer any easier. My one quirk could be the front facing in win logo that is lit up a little too much for my taste, hey I like subtlety in my chassis. But overall this is a well thought through product with okay cooling, dust filters, USB 3.0 integration and relatively tool free design. The glass side panel with door functionality is lovely and gives it its final daunting looks.
Features
The internals are pretty decent as well, normal ATX form factor motherboards will fit, the more lengthy graphics card will fit as well. There's also nice space for liquid cooling, there is sufficient space for two HDDs and two SSDs. The chassis has nice motherboard cutout and there's enough space left for cable routing through the grommet holes (not rubberized though), all in that all-black interior. The one downside is the visibility of the SSDs maybe? Other than that I am nitpicking.
The Verdict
In Win offers an appealing product with the 303, it isn't cheap but neither expensive either at 100 EURO/USD. The magic is to be found in the see-trough design with the tempered glass side panel, the all dark interior and that lovely upper compartment where you can hide your PCU and mount a 360 radiator. Design wise I have very little to complain, the chassis is easy to use and fairly maintenance free. You have enough yet ample storage options alongside good cable routing. Everything sits in the right place as well. The airflow is plenty enough for any decent build, the air intake at the bottom is huge (covered by a dust filter with magnets), the exhaust on the side is just massive. Once again In Win offers a very unique product, please do add some LED lights in there and you will be amazed once you see that expensive kit of yours through that side panel window. As such we can recommend the In Win 303 very much it does offer an excellent combination of features, requirements and comes with nice looks.
