4. How much money did you spend on the rig as it is right now?
Too much, can’t say exactly as I didn’t count it and if I knew the missus would probably kill me. I sold a server, and my old PC, along with some hardware as a stepping stone to cover the majority of the costs.
5. How often do you update/buy a new rig?
Not that often, but depends of if there would be any real benefit to upgrading. If there is a potentially good benefit I would consider it, and the cost of selling the old components to make up the costs of the new stuff. Generally though I would do an upgrade roughly every 2 or so years.
