Welcome to Guru3D's Rig of the Month !

We just adore PC related hardware & think you do too. And sometimes you guys really make a PC that really stands out. We ask you to answer a few simple questions and send in photos of your rig. Each month we'll have a look at the entries and perhaps pick you and post your PC with photos and everything here at Guru3D.com. Here you can find out what you need to do and win a nice prize courtesy of Corsair.

Guru3D Rig of the Month is sponsored by Corsair

Each month one winner walks away with a cool prize. This month we give away a platinum certified Corsair HX750i power supply. The power supply is rather extraordinary in performance and its Platinum 80 plus certification, the one massive 63 Amp 12-volts says it all really. Superb for mainstream to high-end and even multi-GPU solutions. Corsair also embeds their LINK technology into the PSU. That means you can monitor the PSU with the help of software, things like PSU efficiency, power usage or simply to adjust the fan RPM. The winner also receives a fully sleeved cable kit (cables + 24 pin).

Note - This competition runs world-wide, however due to complex delivery and customs issues Russia, South America and Africa will not be shipped a prize, instead Corsair will give you a 100 USD consolidation prize as compensation. We also cannot ship to conflict zones. That said, let's do some modding !

A man and his Build

As Guru3D regular Hans Peder Sahl has built himself a PC worthy of being called, the “Engineering Station”. His build is intriguing in many ways and all about the design and liquid cooling. Well that and the coolant flow, check out the video to understand it. The end result, if you ask us is vastly impressive.

Befor we begin I need you to watch the video below to properly understand what his chassis is all about, have a look please:

1. What is your name / nickname /age / occupation?

My name is Hans Peder Sahl, and I also go under the alias “p0Pe” on the forums, and games. I am 27 years old, and have been messing around with pc´s since I got my first one at the age of 16. I got a bachelor degree in engineering specialized in integrated designs, and are currently working with high-end furniture where I design metal chassis and injection molds. Besides that, I have my own company with a buddy, and fellow modder Nate George where we design and manufacture PC cases.

2. What did you first come here for?

I have almost always just been a lurker on Guru3d, but remember originally finding the site by rig of the month many years ago.

3. What do you mainly use the system for?

The system was build with the thought of having a simple workstation build. But when I first started a project log, the ideas started flowing, and I quickly named it “Engineering Station”. This is also a good description of what the system is used for, as I mainly work around in 3D programs such as solidworks. I also do a lot of rendering which is very CPU intensive, hence why I decided to put a 5960x octo core cpu in it. The 16 threads really speeds things up when rendering video and 3D objects.

I also wanted the system to be able to handle any games I could throw at it, as I do not like having multiple systems for different tasks. So I decided to put two 980TI in it and run them in SLI.
