7. Why AMD-ATI or NVIDIA, why Intel or AMD?
I prefer Intel for CPUs. I have toyed a whole lot around with a dual opteron build, but I don't have any applications that will need that kind of power. For the Graphics, AMD has always been a nobrainer for me. Superior memory busses, Larger vRAM capacities and better multimonitor support makes me soft in my knees.
This rig origonally rocked three Gigabyte windforce 7970ghz editions, which looked awesome. Sadly, the windforce cooler needs a fair amount of air in front of it to properly cool, and as a result the were starved for air. I saw that the 780s could draw air from the bottom, solving my cooling problem was as easy as cutting a whole for a buttom mounted direct air intake Silverstone Airpenetrator fan and be done with.
8. Does your PC live up to your expectations ?
I had one goal with this build: More power; Less space. It was hard to build in, I had to overcome a whole lot of hurdles and issues but it lived up to the goal perfectly. I could not have pushed more power in the space it takes up.
