4. How much money did you spend on the rig as it is right now?
For all the inside components I think about 1200€. Monitors and NAS not included. The case, well, lets say it was worth it.
5. How often do you update/buy a new rig?
I usually update components every 12-18 months. Next upgrade probably will be X99. Last one before z77 was Westmere. I like playing with new graphic cards, so probably that component is updated more often.
6. What components are used?
With this build I used:
- Intel i7 3770K (EK Supremacy Full Nickel) overclocked to 4.7 with HT
- Asus Maximus V Gene Z77
- 2x 4GB Samsung Green 1600 DDR3 30nm overclocked to 2133 Cas 10
- SSD Samsung 830 128GB (Using a 7TB synology as main storage)
- PowerColor AMD R9 290 unlocked to 290X (EK Full Block R9 290X Acetal-Nickel) overclocked to 1200/1500
- Antec TPQ 850W
