4. So then, how much money did you spend on the rig as it is right now?

It's hard to say because I don't buy parts all at one time. I would say I spent $1,600 on this rig.

5. How often do you update/buy a new rig?

 I've been building my own pc since 1999 and I usually upgrade hardware every 6 - 12 months. My GTX 280 is the only hardware that's been sitting in my pc for almost 2 years now.
