Final Words and Conclusion
Final words and conclusion
The Model O is the first mouse by the Glorious company, and we admit that this has been a very strong and successful debut. This model targets a group of avid FPS players who are looking for the lightest mice possible. The mouse does not feel cheap, and it is the 68g weight that sets it apart from the competition. Until now, achieving a weight below 90g could be seen as a considerable success for many companies but, as you can see, this one has managed to go even lower. The hardware seems to be of great quality, the design of the mouse is ergonomic and comfortable, and you get a mouse with plenty of software options and six buttons that are programmable.
"Onboard" of this mouse you get the Pixart PMW3360 sensor, which works flawlessly here. Omron switches with an MTBF of 20 million clicks, with a separated button design provide a sensational click. The mouse is connected via a USB cable (braided and 1.95 m long) that is soft as a shoelace, providing movements like a wireless mouse. The buttons provide great feedback when pressed, and offer a good response.
Conclusion
You get a 12K DPI wired gaming mouse that is super-light for 49.99/59.99 USD. What more? The build quality and ergonomics are simply excellent. The universal palm-claw shape creates, for many, an almost perfect “weapon (only people with large palms should be careful, because they may lack space for their ring finger)”. In short - if you are looking for the lightest possible mouse with proven shape and "guts" that will allow you to compete at the highest level, then the Glorious Model O is going to be a hit in your book. You can choose from two color versions (black and white), and two types of surface finish - glossy and matte. The only thing that might bother some users is the fact that this mouse requires frequent cleaning. For the money, you receive a complete and precise gaming mouse with a nice software suite that goes along with it. Recommended by Guru3D.com.
