The EMI shielded audio solution is based on Creative certified Sound Blaster ZxRi 120+dB SNR with 7.1-Channel High Definition Audio and support for S/PDIF output.  With its 100 series, GIGABYTE introduces a combination of Hi-Fi grade WIMA Capacitors and Nichicon audio grade Fine Gold capacitors. While the Nichicon Fine Gold capacitors are suited for high-grade audio equipment, using state of the art technology to provide rich sound in the bass and clearer high frequencies, the WIMA FKP2 capacitors are being used widely in premium grade Hi-Fi systems. The addition of this to the AMP-UP Audio technology makes for an interesting onboard sound solution for audiophiles. Gigabyte has included an OP-AMP for both left and right channels on the rear I/O as well as a dedicated OP-AMP for the front audio jack.

Check the heatsinks, pretty cool design. All the way upwards you can spot two M.2. slots and also take not of the metal cover on the two primary x16 PCI-Express slots. It provides a more sturdy and stronger slot, handy for very heavy graphics cards. BTW see the two caps on the front heatsink ? That's for liquid cooling. Tube connectors at each end of the heatsink provide integration with any water cooled system. These technologies help combat high temperatures by effectively removing heat from critical areas of the motherboard such as the CPU VRM zone, allowing it to remain cooler.

Just one 8-pin connector to power that processor of yours, but it should be plenty though. The motherboard has a 22-Phase Digital Power Delivery Design based on 4th gen. IR digital power controllers and 3rd gen. PowIRstage ICs.
