Obviously we also had to peek at memory bandwidth performance. Now, obviously Intel has an advantage here, triple-channel memory. This explains the tremendous amount of read performance for the Core i7 platform. In dark orange the baseline results at 1333 MHz C7 Then the orange bar above it is the system overclocked yet now running 1980 MHz CAS10.
Memory Write test
We did the same with the memory write tests. Intel surely dominates with the memory controller based on Nehalem family processors.
