As you can see, for this test we use the Core i7 980 Extreme -- We spot that Hyper-Threading is enabled... 12 threads are available to us. Nice.
Hmmm yup! Core i7 980X (Gulftown) indeed is Nehalem based; the caches.
CPU-Z is so handy, the motherboard is properly recognized and as you can see, we are using the F2 BIOS compiled on the 21st of May 2010.
The motherboard reads out the memory profiles properly. We have 3x 2048MB installed in this rig.
We apply standard JEDEC timings for our default baseline tests with a clock frequency of 1333 MHz, CAS 7 was automatically configured by the motherboard, so we'll use this for our baseline memory settings.
