You'll have lots of slots as the GA-F2A85X-UP4 features three PCI-Express Gen2 x16 slots that come with 3-way CrossFire support in a x8 + x8 + x4 configuration. Next to that you'll spot 3 x PCI Express x1 slot, and 1x PCI slots. Your LAN is managed by a Realtek 8111E Gigabit LAN Fast Ethernet Controller, audio is managed through a Realtek ALC892 8-Ch High Definition audio CODEC.

The board has a standard ATX size of 305mm x 244mm. Interesting to see is the uinc;lusion of a diagnostic LED that shows status codes of the motherboard. Next to it you can see the two BIOSes implemented on this motherboard.  Also such a minor detail to see, but look at how clear everything is labaled on the motherboard. I just really like that very much.

Underneath the DIMM slots we see a series of buttons for power and reset. Just right of the lower DIMM slot we also spot a CLEAR CMOS button.

And check that, even 8-pin CPU power, as mentioned before this is an Ultra Durable 5 motherboard and thus it comes with IR3550 PowIRstage ICs from International Rectifier, 2X Copper PCB and high current Ferrite Core Chokes rated up to 60A.

Here the processor socket area on the Gigabyte GA-F2A85X-UP4 motherboard. The CPU Cooler or HSF mounts remain unchanged, but the socket now has 904 pins. Socket FM1 was used for AMD A-series mainstream Fusion (Llano) processors and had 905 pins.

The difference actually is more than just a pin though as the arrangement has changes as well. So remember that as AMD A10-5800K or for that matter any Trinity based APU can only be used on socket FM2 motherboards due to the 904-pin arrangementThe board has an MSRP of $139.99 and should be available in the retail market soon. Anyway, next page please.
