DX11: BioShock Infinite
DX11: BioShock Infinite
BioShock Infinite is a first-person shooter video game and the third installment in the BioShock series. Previously known as "Project Icarus", it is being developed by Irrational Games and was released worldwide on the Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 platforms on March 26, 2013. BioShock Infinite is not part of the storyline of previous BioShock games but definitely features similar gameplay concepts and themes. The retail Windows version accommodates higher-resolution textures beyond the console versions, and supports video cards capable of running DirectX 11 in addition to DirectX 10, allowing for further graphical improvements to the game.
We test BioShock Infinite at:
- DirectX 11
- Ultra Quality mode with DDOD enabled
- FXAA enabled
BioShock Infinite is tested with FXAA at ultra Quality settings. You'll notice rather exceptional frame-rates as the Unreal 3 Graphics engine isn't that taxing at all, again you are looking at 2560x1440.
BTW a recent driver update boosted overall performance for this title in SLI, this is the reason why 970/980 SLI is on top marginally. We'll explain a bit more in the conclusion, so please look at this specific chart as an indicative one.
