I wish Galaxy would remove the analog 3-way RCA HD adapter and move to a HDMI adapter.
Looks good, right? There's nothing reference about this product though. We'll tilt the card a little and allow me to show you.
When we take a photo from the top side we can see one SLI finger. The PCB completely differs from the reference design and is colored nicely in blue with the front plate and DVI connectors in black.
The card comes with two DVI ports. The DVI port supports simultaneous HDCP and dual-link (meaning a possible 2560 x 1600 for 30"). To the left the 7-pin HDTV-out mini-din, a user can plug an S-video cable directly into the connector, or use a dongle for YPrPb (component) or composite outputs. The prior 9-pin HDTV-out mini-din connector required a dongle to use S-video, YPrPb and composite outputs.
At the rear end we'll also stumble into what we'll see on all 9600 GT cards; a 6-pin PSU connector. At full load the card can peak at ~90-95 Watt power consumption. The connector has been integrated for additional stability & should help with overclocking as well.
Even the voltage regulators under the hood have a little customized heatsink, nice to see such details.
There we go, for the "ooh and aah" factor: live, alive and working in the test system. The sticker is slightly UV reflective. That's always pretty cool in our test system. Let's have a look at what point of View has to offer.
