Off we go...

Right then, I stated in the introduction already that this article is not our average article with all the in-depth benchmarks and testing. We know exactly how the 6600 GT performs, we tested it many times before, go check some 6600 GT articles if you want to learn about the performance. Today we'll talk about BIOS modification as that's what this product really is about.

It's a bit weird, Galaxy does not really support this tweaking yet their press-releases and website is loaded with marketing phrases like "OverClock in a SMART WAY". Let's see what their website reports about this card:

Facts and Specifications:

  • the first smart design Dual BIOS NVIDIA Graphic card

  • an external BIOS switch for backup BIOS recovery

  • unique Dual BIOS design for worry-free BIOS flashing.

  • the best device for hardcore over-clockers

  • Built-in buzzer alarm to warn the user if the fan stop rotating or card exceeded its default operating temperature.

So the idea is that you have a backup function, the card was never meant for BIOS modding. Right, read between the lines please, this is exactly what the card is for. Well luckily you are on Guru3D.com and we offer downloadable tools for pretty much everything and of course have pretty much an explanation for everything also. The two best tools for the job are NVIDIA BIOS Modifier and NiBiTor.
