Regarding the overall capabilities of this case, you can use a 170 mm CPU cooler, a graphics card up to 405 mm (with the front fans installed), and it’s possible to install water cooling here as well.
The Fractal Design Focus 2 is designed with liquid cooling in mind; thus, it supports 360 mm radiators at the front (max 145 mm width), 240 mm at the top (max 121 mm width, 45 mm MB component height), and 120 mm at the back.
This chassis does not come with preinstalled or delivered fans, so you must create airflow. You can install fans in the following setups:
- Front: 120mm × 3 or 140mm × 2 (2x Aspect or Aspect RGB 140 mm fans included)
- Top: 120mm × 2 or 140mm × 2
- Rear: 120mm × 1
The provided fans are from the Aspect series with rifle bearing. It comes in non-RGB and RGB versions, depending on the chassis version. You can find six hub-mounted addressable RGB LEDs (in the RGB version). The power connector is 3-pin, daisy-chainable; the RGB connection is standard 5V and also daisy-chainable. The rotational speed is 1000 RPM, and the noise level is 19.5 dBA. Max airflow is 41 CFM, and the static pressure is 1.02 mmH2O. Max rated input current is 0.14A. Service life is 90,000 hours MTTF. As for the cable type, it’s a 500 mm ribbon cable with chainable connectors.
The motherboard layout is quite traditional, and there’s a place for the PSU at the bottom of the chassis. There’s no PSU shroud, but you have a little cover for the power supply at the left panel. Ok, let’s head to the further inspection of the interior, then.
